I'm not sure if it was yesterday or Monday I came up with the idea I would do an interval session today. I had thought I would do 1 km runs but on the way there I changed my mind and so I ended up doing shorter intervals - 4 x 500 metres, something I hadn't done for God knows how many years. I first of all jogged to measure the 500 metres, did 1 interval which took me to the Kayak club, where I the farted around as I needed another Ps plus I decided to leave some clothes in the changing room as the weather was so good and the young on reception ssuggested me using a locker, and I the chatted for a minute or two with Honved kayak coaches who were measuring the times for guys doing an OL lap. It was then a jog back between the next ones - I would say a total of 3 mins break. My 4 intervals were 509 metres and 1.55, 504 and 1.53, 499 and 1.58, 496 and 1.56. my targer was under 2 mins for all of them so I was happy althpough obviously I want to be doing a lot better as I want to be doing under 4 mins for a km. 15.14 - realised I could calculate my breaks and they were 9.15,3.02 and 3.06
